Hummus Wreath

We love this recipe for its simplicity, and for its cuteness. Plus, its actually one of the healthier holiday appetizers around!

  • 1 Container of Store bought Hummus
  • 1/2 cup Feta Cheese- crumbled
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onion or scallions
  • 3/4 cup chopped iItalian Flat-Leaf Parsley
  • 2 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp. Lemon Juice
  • 4-6 halved Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper
  • Pita Chips, Carrot Sticks, Celery Sticks – anything you want to serve with the hummus!

  1. Finely chop the green onions and parsley and set aside. In a medium bowl mix the hummus, feta crumbles, and chopped green onions together until mixed thoroughly. Choose a serving plate for the hummus and grab a small bowl or drinking glass.
  2. Place the small bowl or drinking glass at the center of your serving dish. *Tip – if you plan to use a small bowl in the middle of your hummus wreath for serving chips, veggies, etc. then use a bowl of a similar size for this step to ensure the center space is big enough for your serving bowl. Next, spread the hummus mixture in a circular shape around the serving dish, keeping the middle bowl steady. Try to make the mixture similar to a wreath shape.
  3. Next, remove your center bowl and set aside. Mix together the finely chopped parsley, olive oil, salt, and lemon juice in a medium bowl. Once mixed, spread parsley mixture over the hummus ring. Leaving a small hummus boarder showing.
  4. Next, cut the cherry tomatoes in half and place along the hummus wreath cut side facing down – so they look like Christmas ornaments on your greenery.
  5. Next, use a small bow-shaped cookie cutter to make a bow from the sidewall of a large red pepper. Look for a pepper with broad, flat sides if you can find one. Place your red pepper bow wherever you want on your hummus wreath. Lastly, sprinkle with feta crumbled “snow” over the wreath.
  6. Finally, serve with pita chips, sliced veggies, or pretzels. Enjoy! *Pro tip* – this can made 1-2 days ahead of time!

Mini Cheese Ball Truffles

Who doesn’t love cheese, yet alone a mini individualized cheeseball filled with all the goodies! We are taking the standard giant cheeseball app and turning it into mini cheeseballs. One reason is that they maintain their beautiful presentation throughout an event, and every guest can have his or her own mini cheeseball! You can mix and match the ingredients in this recipe, it’s highly customizable! Either way the instructions will remain the same, but feel free to add/ omit ingredients to make different flavored cheeseballs! Below we have bacon, cheddar, and ranch cheese truffles.

  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Applewood Bacon, cooked and finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon dry ranch dressing mix
  • Garnish: 1/2 cup pecans, chopped and 1/2 cup bacon, chopped

  1. In a medium bowl, add the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon, ranch seasoning, and green onions.
  2. Mix with a hand mixer until well blended.
  3. Form the mixture into 1 1/2-inch balls. Roll each ball in the pecans or chopped bacon to coat.
  4. Refrigerator for one hour before serving.
  5. Serve with a variety of crackers on a serving dish & enjoy!
  6. Want to switch it up? – swap the cheddar for blue cheese, change up the mixed fillings, try chopped pistachios or diced sun-dried tomatoes! Have fun with this one.

Spinach Dip Cheesy Christmas Tree

Instead of the boring old traditional spinach dip, try something new this holiday season. Not only is this a fun new take on spinach dip, but it’s totally festive & shaped like a Christmas tree! You can’t beat it!

  • 1 (8-oz.) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped artichoke hearts
  • 1/2 cup frozen spinach, defrosted, drained and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan
  • 2 tbsp. sour cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. lemon zest (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, defrosted
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded mozzarella
  • 2 tbsp. melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

  1. Preheat oven to 375° and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, stir cream cheese, artichoke hearts, spinach, Parmesan, sour cream, garlic, and lemon zest and red pepper flakes (if using) until combined. Season mixture with salt and pepper.
  2. Unroll both pastry sheets onto baking tray, and use a pizza cutter or knife to cut a Christmas tree shape into the dough; reserve scraps. Remove top tree cut-out, and spread cream cheese mixture on bottom layer. Sprinkle with mozzarella then top with second tree cutout.
  3. Cut a star out of reserved puff pastry scraps and place on top of tree. Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut 1/2″ thick “branches” on either side of tree, being careful to leave a 1″ section in the center. Gently lift and twist each “branch”.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together butter and garlic powder. Brush all over tree and star and bake until golden, 30 minutes.
  5. Enjoy!
