Grilled chicken meat, bbq on bamboo skewers

 


When it comes to a weeknight meal that is simple to make, especially when grilled outdoors on a barbecue saving time on kitchen cleanup, these kabobs make a delicious dinner. We’re sure this is destined to become a part of your regular menu rotation.

Here’s a shopping list and directions for chicken kabobs served with rice pilaf and grilled pineapple.


Chicken Kabobs  for Under $25

1 Package – Smart Chicken Tenderloins
1 Package – Good Cook Bamboo Skewers
1 Package – Organic White Mushrooms
1 Organic Green Pepper
1 Organic Jumbo Yellow Onion
1 Box – Near East Rice Pilaf Original
1 Can – Dole Pineapple Slices

Directions:

Cut chicken tenders into 1-2 inch pieces and push through bamboo skewers. (Soak skewers in a pan of water before adding meat to keep them from burning on the grill.) Alternate chicken with slices of onion, mushroom caps, and green pepper. Season to taste and grill over coals until cooked through. Prepare rice pilaf per package instructions. Serve kabobs with rice. Grill pineapple slices separately for dessert.
